Hardware Guide

Lanai Overview

Lanai is the host controller phone QRD for the devkit. In the docs it will be referred to interchangeably as Lanai, or more simply as the phone or host controller.

The device buttons are very similar to a regular smartphone.

Known Issues

The Lanai battery connectors are prone to disconnect from vibrations or impacts, resulting in the phone refusing to turn on and going into a boot loop when charging. Phones coming from Qualcomm will have fortified those connectors though it can't be completely ruled out that they may disconnect again during shipping. The connectors may carefully be attached again when loosened.

Foreseer Overview

Foreseer is the wireless augmented reality glasses / viewer QRD for the devkit. In the docs it will be referred to interchangeably as Foreseer, AR glasses, AR viewer, or more simply as the viewer.
